About the Aims and Scope of the Journal of Applied Criminology Research

The Journal of Applied Criminology Research is a specialized academic journal in the field of criminology, dedicated to disseminating scholarly research articles within this domain. This journal is published with the aim of advancing knowledge and promoting scholarly research in applied criminology, including empirical investigations, comparative studies, statistical analyses, and innovative findings. It also addresses topics related to clinical criminology, legal criminology, the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal policy content and penal institutions, as well as preventive criminology. The journal strives to adopt an interdisciplinary approach grounded in scientific evidence to develop practical and applicable solutions aimed at reducing crime and enhancing social security. The regular and timely publication of this journal facilitates access for professors, students, researchers, and enthusiasts in the field of criminology to the latest scientific advancements, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of indigenous knowledge in this domain.

The Journal of Applied Criminological Research has been awarded a scientific ranking of “Grade B” by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (MSRT).

Reviewing the authors’ guidelines prior to manuscript submission is mandatory. Authors are required to complete and submit both the Conflict of Interest Form and the Author Commitment Form along with their manuscript.

All submitted manuscripts are reviewed and screened for plagiarism using the Samim Noor plagiarism detection software.
