Abstract

Field and Aims: Socialization is one of the basic processes in the formation of personality and social identity of people, which plays a prominent role especially during childhood and adolescence. Students at risk due to special family, economic, cultural or environmental circumstances may face serious challenges in socialization. The role of social factors such as family, school and peer group in the socialization process of students, especially those who are at risk of delinquency, is of particular importance. This article examines the role of social factors in the socialization process of at-risk students and analyzes the impact of different environments such as family, school, peer groups, and media on this group of students.
Method: The present research is descriptive and analytical.
Findings and Conclusions: Socialization, as a process in which children and adolescents are prepared to become successful members of society, requires the acquisition of skills, behavioral patterns, ideas and values needed to function competently in the society in which the child grows. Socialization perspectives emphasize the one-way transfer of values from the old generation to the young generation. Older models are based on psychoanalytic and social learning theories and are generally limited to the analysis of parent-child interactions. The results show that the role of social supports, such as positive family communication and effective supervision at school, can reduce the negative effects of risk conditions and help strengthen healthy socialization in these students. In this research, the importance of social and cultural interventions aimed at improving the social and psychological skills of students at risk has been discussed.
