Field and Aims: In the criminal justice system, one of the necessary criteria for preventing recidivism is to pay attention to the personality of the offender. Therefore, in order to determine the appropriate social response to the crime and to rehabilitate the offender and prevent recidivism, in addition to filing a legal case, it is important to file a criminal personality file using artificial intelligence technology that includes the offender's personal characteristics, including family life, medical issues, criminal records, and many other characteristics. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to analyze the intelligent personality file as a strategy for preventing recidivism.
Method: The present research is qualitative and based on inference from sources and texts, using a descriptive-analytical method.
Findings and Conclusions: The findings and results indicate that in the case of the intelligent personality, by utilizing artificial intelligence tools and methods to collect data at a macro level in the case formation stage and data analysis in the trial and verdict stage and in the execution stage, predicting the outcome of the convicted criminal behavior in the possibility of re-offending helps criminal justice professionals in preventing recidivism. Therefore, macro-intelligence policies by developing technological infrastructure in the judicial system and intelligentizing processes, including the intelligent personality case, with a justice-oriented approach and with the aim of protecting public health and maintaining the transparency of the justice cycle in realizing smart justice, play an effective role in preventing recidivism. Artificial intelligence has the potential to become a permanent part of our criminal justice system, assist criminal justice professionals in investigations, and allow them to better maintain public safety.
